The Canadian Tenors and ME

I got the tickets to go and see the Canadian Tenors this past week for my birthday in October and I bought the VIP tickets because I wanted the chance to say a lil Hello and get a photo taken!!! I didn't get a chance to say all that I wanted to say, in all truth I am actually quite shy so I am proud that I actually did say some of the things I wanted to!!! First their show was quite amazing and the music was beautiful. It was something to see at the right time to really get you into the Christmas spirit as at this time of year as I really do miss my Atlanta peeps!!! I brought a friend with me, the friend who actually introduced me to the Canadian Tenors so it made this night that much more fun!!! We had front row seats and it was a little intimidating to me because they were bang right there in front of your face. Don't get me wrong I know that they are people too and if I get star struck it's only a little bit!!! The fact that I was so thirsty and having coughing fits and I kept trying to stifle my coughs so not to interrupt any part of their amazing singing made me feel that way too!!! The true reason why I wanted to meet them is that I have a 3 and a 2 year old daughter and one day I came downstairs to see my 3 year old off in the corner singing Hallelujah and it made my heart burst!!! I had played the famous Oprah video with Celine Dion a few times I guess!!! I love Celine too!!! I loved the song Hallelujah even before I heard the Tenors sing it!!! In fact every time I hear it I have to just stop and listen!!! Justin Timberlake did a version of it on the Hope for Haiti telethon!!! I can't remember who he sang it with!!! But for the Canadian Tenors to not only move me through the words and the music but my little girl as well was quite special to me and I wanted to tell them so!!! Now I didn't get to say all of it the way I wanted but I spoke up and didn't let any shyness get in the way!!! I had a great night with a friend too something that comes far and few inbetween for me so it was a nice night out and glad to have shared it with her and hope to get to do it all again with her one day!!!
These guys not only sing but they sing in other languages too and not only do they sing they play instruments too!!! See the whole package!!! I got to talk with Victor and Fraser!!! I talked with Victor first and I told him I had a three year old lil girl who sings Hallelujah and he said he has a two year old little boy who sings it as well!!! I think I told him it means the world to me!!! I pretty much told Fraser the same thing and he said that they get alot of videos of little kids singing it and I am pretty sure I told him thank you because it meant the world to me to hear my lil girl sing it!!! I have loved music since I was a lil girl and in terms of it I am all over the map!!! The only thing I forgot to tell the Canadian Tenors was thank you for the picture and that I hope they have a very Merry Christmas!!! So if you are a Tenor and reading this Merry Christmas!!! Hahaha!!! If you are not a Tenor and reading this Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you as well!!! Take care and Have fun!!!

Cheers to Pink Champagne Cupcakes...Can you say yum???

I'm not much of a drinker, occasionally I will have some bevys and if I do I really like the cheap champagne or malibu and seven...Soooo when I saw a recipe advertised for these fun pink champagne cupcakes on a Betty Crocker Mini Recipe Magazine I knew that the magazine had to be mine!!! My cupcakes don't look as pretty as Betty Crocker's but I was quite pleased with the way that mine turned out as this was one of the first times that I have made cupcakes!!! I once made a batch of these(24 cupcakes) when my husband had some cousins staying with him and by the end of the weekend these lil cakes were gone!!! He said they were so light and fluffy that it was like eating air!!! I thought hey cool as I like to bake... doesn't always mean that I am good at it!!! And who doesn't like to get a little praise now and then, right??? This is a picture of my cupcakes and I will put the recipe to follow. The cupcakes will have a slight champagne taste to it but I think they are good and so does my husband and apparently so does my husbands cousins!!! Now may you be inspired to go and bake up a batch of these cupcakes or another if you like but go and give in to your baking side and Have a little fun!!! Take care!!!

I Hope You Dance And Dance And Dance

F.Y.I. My video does have sound so if you want to listen to it you will have to pause my music!!!Thanks!!! :0) This is my little chica just dancing away!!! As my girls grow up I hope they look back at this and see that they are everything to me!!! Without music or dance where would we be!!! Music is a constant in my life and I hope constant in my lil girls lives!!! It's one thing that I've always turned to whether happy or sad or mad!!! Just like one quote said, it is your pulse, heartbeat, your breathing!!! I am a closet dancer!!! I put the music on, turn it up, and I dance!!! I dance with no one but I trust watching but I am hoping that my girls will dance with everyone watching!!! Don't get me wrong sometimes I still get up and dance openly but not as loose as I would at home!!! It's funny sometimes you catch Illonya at the right time doing her thing and she gets embarassed quite easily, almost to the point of tears and anger because you caught her and I'm trying to instill that it's okay to dance, to sing, to be all that she is because we are nothing short of proud of her!!! Life is one big dance and I hope my girls dance through theirs as if no one was watching yet with everyone watching!!! Big things for my little girls, I'm just a Mom who wants big things for her little girls!!! Now go turn your music up and dance!!! Take care!!!

"We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams."

"A child sings before it speaks, dances almost before it walks. Music is in our hearts from the beginning." ~Pamela Brown

"To touch, to move, to inspire. This is the true gift of dance." -Aubrey Lynch

Dance is a little insanity that does us all a lot of good." -Edward Demby

Learning to walk set you free. Learning to dance gives you the greatest freedom of all: to express with your whole self the person you are. -Melissa Hayden

"Dancers are instruments, like a piano the choreographer plays." ~George Balanchine

Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm of your life. It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy." ~Jaques D'ambroise

"Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another." ~anonymous

The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word. ~Mata Hari

To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak. ~Hopi Indian Saying

You've Got A Friend In Me

Wow it's been a long time since I last posted but it's been busy with sick kids, holidays, moving, holidays, and did I mention sick kids??? I am still around, alive and kicking, just too busy or too tired to be on the computer for a good amount of time!!! I took my little chick to see her first movie today!!! The movie was Toy Story 3 and it was all quite the experience to her!!! She loved every bit of it!!! I knew she would love the movie because we have seen the other 2 about a million times and she has a Woody, Buzz, and Jessie doll just like Andy!!! The movie was also a reminder that kids really do grow up way too fast and I really do feel truly blessed that I get to spend every moment with my girls!!! I love watching them learn and experience new things and while sometimes they may be a little rough around the edges, I couldn't be any more proud of them then I already am!!! Like Illonya right now, any other lil kids in her presence and they are automatically friends to her and I think what a great lil attitude to have, sure some kids might find that annoying but I think it's a great outlook to have!!! No prejudices of other kids and even though I know it's bound to happen, I kind of hope she keeps that outlook but yet knows how to protect herself from getting hurt!!! Because I know that is bound to happen!!! Anyways sorry for my ramblings, I just love watching my girl grow up but at the same time am sad that it has to happen because if I had my way sometimes I would freeze her at 3 or 4 but then again that wouldn't be any fun now either!!! It was a cute movie and then I remembered that I did a layout with my lil girl loving her Woody doll!!! I orginally did this layout from a challenge that was posted on Candy Shoppe Designs(http://candyshoppedesigns.blogspot.com/) but I didn't get a chance to get on the computer and post it so I thought what would be the next perfect day to post it then today!!! Anyways I got to go but you should check out Candy Shoppe Designs as there is lots of cool stuff to see!!! And once again as always Take care and Have fun!!! :0)

A Little Blog Hopping

This is my take on the DirtyFitGirls Blog Hop Challenge!!!
Three Blogs...One Page ( The Blogs and challenges are listed below)

A little background on me: Anyone who truly knows me knows that I am a HUGE Disney fan, (the movies, the characters, the MUSIC) Ariel is my favorite character!!! When I was younger I tried out for the New Mickey Mouse Club ( I sang Debbie Gibson's song Lost In Your Eyes)! Yes the very one that spawned Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and yes Ms. Christina Aguilera whose song is featured on my page and one that I have been wanting to use for a very long time! Why? Because I often wonder about my reflection!!! Thanks for looking and as always Take Care and Have Fun!!!
First Blog, http://sassylilsketches.blogspot.com/wants you to use this sketch:

Second Blog, http://dirtyscraps.blogspot.com/ wants you to use this as your motivation for the page:
Getting dirty is not about scrapping only those bad moments or only the good. It's all about reflection and what YOU think, how your mind works and how you feel. So make this Layout about Reflection, maybe you are reflecting on past mistakes, or reflecting on a past blessing? Maybe it is how you see your reflection in the mirror? We all reflect, don't be scared to get dirty! Scrap your emotions, scrap them the way you want, now go get dirty!
And last but most certainly not least, http://scrapfit.blogspot.com/wants to see some ribbon and some silver to represent reflection!!!

Thanks to all 3 for the challenge and for introducing me to other great blogs out there as I am just getting into this big wide world of blogging!!! Thanks Again!!!
